March Madness at Shawnee Peak!

March is here and we’re Psyched!

Let me tell you about March… most skiers and riders have a love / hate relationship with this month. For many of us, it brings out the best time year to ski and ride as the days are longer, the snow is nice, there are some deep storms and the temperatures are comfortable (which means the aprés ski is lively…) . Yet, it is also a subtle reminder that the season is winding down.

Well – there is no better time to Sneak to the Peak! We’ve got a full Calendar of Events including entertainment, aprés ski and an outdoor event every weekend!

For you bargain seekers – this is also the best month to get out on the slopes! Here at Shawnee Peak, we’ve put together a couple of nice options for you:

March Madness Season Pass – enough said! $229 gets you unlimited skiing and riding! What are you waiting for – buy now! If you’ve got a Shawnee Peak S-Card, just load the card with your pass and go direct-to-lift!

Unlimited Rental Package – $99 gets you an unlimited ski or snowboard rentals. If you plan to ski or ride more than 2 times, this package is just for you. Yes, helmets are included!

If you’ve made it this far, we’d love to also tell you about our SnowSports School! There is never a better time to grab the two above items and take some lessons! March is the BEST month to take a lesson at Shawnee Peak!

Why is that? Here goes:

  1. The Weather: the temperature and conditions. The days are warmer, the sun stays out longer and the snow is just awesome. Plus, it’s nice enough to have an après beverage outside or hit up the donut shack after the lesson.
  2. The Instructors: At this point, our instructors have been teaching for more than half of the season. While we have many seasoned vets on our staff, everyone needs time to fine tune their skills and apply new learnings! We’ve also been doing training clinics as a team, throughout the winter. At the halfway point, we’ve seen it all and our team of over 100 instructors are ready to pass our knowledge to you.
  3. Experience: Maybe you’ve already been on snow a few times this year and perhaps have had a lesson or two. Well, this is the time to ask those questions that you’ve been too shy to ask your ski buddy, or to get a progress update and take your skills to the next level! If you’ve got children, they’ve probably developed enough confidence to go into a lesson alone or in their ski ability.

OK, well – now what?!
