Loon Echo Hike 'N' Bike Trek SEP.20, 2008 The Eighth annual Loon Echo Hike n’ Bike Trek will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Shawnee Peak Ski Area in Bridgton to benefit Loon Echo Land Trust’s conservation efforts in the northern Sebago Lake region. Riders may choose from a 25, 50 or 100 mile ride through spectacular scenery in the White Mountain National Forest area, or a six mile hike over Pleasant Mountain’s conservation land. Entry fee is only $50 before July 1st (“early bird”) and $75 after, 15 years & under, $25. Pledges are not required to enter, but are encouraged to help the cause. A delicious barbeque meal, live music and a prize pool giveaway (for those raising pledges) will take place in the afternoon after the ride. Jones'N For Snow Rail Jam! OCT.18, 2008 Shawnee Peak has teamed up with Joe Jones to host one of the first pre-season rail jams! Join us on Saturday, October 18th from 4-7p.m. at the Portland Expo Center for the Jones'N for Snow Rail Jam. This is a FREE Jam for all ages. Register at the Expo with the Joe Jones Crew. Anyone under 18 must have a parent to sign for them. There will be tons of prizes given out including a 2008-09 Season Pass to Shawnee Peak.
