Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester Day

In an effort to get more kids from inner-city neighborhoods introduced to the sports of skiing and snowboarding, Shawnee Peak hosts a FREE Learn to Ski or Snowboard day for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorcester, Massachusetts on January7 2012.
Shawnee Peak provides free lift tickets, lessons, rental equipment and subsidized food for 150 kids ages 8-15. The Children arrive at 9:30am, obtained their rental equipment, join a 1 1/2 Hour Group Lesson, have lunch, then skied and snowboarded for the rest of the afternoon. At 5pm, buses take the children and their chaperones home to Dorcester.
