Shawnee Peak Ski Resort Open from Top to Bottom
The post-Christmas Nor'easter has blanketed Shawnee Peak Resort in deep, fluffy, white snow. The storm, which moved in Wednesday night, began coating the mountain in powder and by Thursday, nearly a foot of fresh snow had fallen.
"This is great skiing powder," said Shawnee Peak General Manager, Ed Rock. "Combined with the base we had already created with our snowmaking, conditions are awesome!"
For those looking to visit this upcoming New Year's Eve weekend, Shawnee Peak currently has over 23 trails open and is boasting a base of 18-30 inches. "We are open from top to bottom," says Rock, this storm has been spectacular."
Besides the outstanding conditions, there's plenty of other incentives to visit Shawnee Peak. Right now the resort is offering a "Family of Four," ski deal. Four people (one must be a junior) can ski for just $186. For more information on that deal and other discounted packages, check out shawneepeak.com.
