Employment

Shawnee Peak opens for both day and night skiing in mid December to mid March; most departments have two shifts. We are open for skiing day and night Monday-Saturday and 8:30am-4:30pm Sundays. There is a third shift for snowmaking.

Most postions have been filled for the upcoming season. Please contact each department for further details.

Department	Indoor Positions Available
SnowSports School	Hiring SnowSports School Desk personnel.  Weekends a must.  Be comfortable handling money, on the phone, with a computer and dealing with the public.
Peek a Boo Daycare	State-licensed Day Care for ages 6 months to 6 Years. Employees ages 18 or older preferred.  Shawnee Peak will provide CPR training.  Weekends/holidays are a must.  Occasionaly "on-call" midweek care providers needed.
Blizzards Pub	Interviewing for servers, bar staff, kitchen, dishwashers and bar backs.  Must be 18 or older for most positions.
Cafetaria	Day and Night positions.  Weekends/Holidays may be required.

Department	Outdoor Positions Available
Ambassador	Unpaid, volunteer positions. Get a Free pass and employee benefits.  Positions available for Monday, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Mornings.  E-mail colleen@shawneepeak.com for details.
SnowSports School	Ski/Snowboard Instructors needed.  Must be able to work weekends/holidays.  Part-time and full-time needed.  Two December training weekends mandatory.
Snowmaking	Must be 18 or older.  We hire for 3 shifts - 8am-4pm; 4pm-midnight; midnight-8am.  Heavy lifting required.

Skiing Benefits

Full time seasonal (more than 32 hours) employees receive a season pass for themselves. Full time seasonal may purchase discounted season passes for their dependents according to the schedule as outlined in the employee manual. Part time seasonal (less than 32 hours per week) employees receive a pass for themselves, no discount first year for dependent passes. Volunteer Seasonal Employees receive a season pass for themselves only.

Additional Benefits

All employees and volunteers are entitled to a 25% discount in the cafeterias located in the Main Base Lodge and East Lodge. Day Care Discount is 50% based on availability. All paid employees are entitled to a free Learn to Ski or Snowboard group lesson if a lesson is forming. Multi-week programs including SkiWee, Junior Mountaineers and MiniRiders are available for a 50% discount for full-time employees, 30% for part-time employees and volunteers. Availability based on the discretion of the Ski School Director. Rental equipment is available for $10 for all employees - based on availability.
